朝鲜王朝后期的儒学在西学的冲击之下,逐渐摆脱传统思想的束缚,批判性地吸收西学,开创性地构建了新的实学思想体系,对朝鲜半岛的近代化发展起到了积极的引领作用。茶山丁若镛是实学思想的集大成者,其理论虽然有“脱朱子学”的倾向,但究其根本仍是朝鲜性理学,只是部分接受并融合西学思想,使朝鲜后期的实学逐步体系化、完整化,具有过渡作用和借鉴意义。
Under pressure from Western encroachment,the Confucianism of the late Joseon period threw off the shackles of traditional thinking and began a critical and innovative adoption of Western thinking,creating a new ideology called “Silhak”. This had a significant impact on the development of early modern Korean society. Dasan Jeong Yak-yong (1762-1836) was an important contributor to Silhak. While his theories have been accused of “rejecting Zhu Xi”,they are still grounded in Korean Neo-Confucianism,but augmented with Western influence. His thought is a development and enhancement of Silhak that merits consideration and reflection.
