2022年，拜登政府进一步提升太平洋岛国在美国对外战略中的定位，出台了美国历史上首项专门针对太平洋岛国的“太平洋伙伴关系战略”，并将对岛国的政策纳入美国“国家安全战略”文件。在上述战略政策指导下，拜登政府在军事安全、政治外交、气候变化、疫情应对、经贸发展和社会文化等层面进一步全面加强了对岛国的政策和与太平洋岛国的联系。由于美国对太平洋岛国的政策具有明显的争霸性和外向性（以域外大国为针对目标），并不真正关注岛国人民的需求，加之美国政府和社会自身问题不断，美国对太平洋岛国政策的效力和可持续性仍值得关注。
In 2022，the Biden administration further enhanced the position of Pacific island countries in the U.S. foreign strategy and announced the first “Pacific Partnership Strategy” specifically targeting Pacific island countries in the American history，and listed its Pacific island countries policies into the U.S. “National Security Strategy”. Under the guidance of the above strategic policies，the Biden administration comprehensively strengthened its policies and contacts with Pacific island countries again in terms of military security，political diplomacy，climate change，epidemic response，economic and trade development，and social culture. As the U.S. policy towards Pacific island countries is hegemonic and outward-looking（targeting foreign powers），it does not really care about the needs of the people of the Pacific island countries，and the U.S. government and society themselves are full of problems，the effectiveness and sustainability of the U.S. policy towards the Pacific island countries still deserves attention.
