2022年新冠疫情持续蔓延,对太平洋岛国海洋产业与海洋治理的影响依旧明显。海洋产业在艰难中前行,渔业经济发展较为平稳,旅游业受到的影响依然较大;多个国家尝试重开边境,斐济和巴布亚新几内亚的游客人数实现大幅增长;反对深海采矿的呼声不断。在海洋治理方面,太平洋岛国更加关注海洋环境变化与气候变化、区域海洋政策制定以及国际海洋合作,并在多个国际场合表达其治理理念和发展诉求。
In 2022,the COVID-19 epidemic continued to spread,and its impact on the ocean industry and ocean governance of Pacific island countries was still obvious. The ocean industry is moving forward in difficulties,the development of fishery economy is relatively stable,and the impact on tourism is still greater. Many countries have tried to reopen their borders,and the number of tourists in Fiji and Papua New Guinea has increased significantly. There are constant voices against deep-sea mining. In terms of ocean governance,Pacific island countries pay more attention to marine environmental changes and climate change,regional ocean policy formulation and international ocean cooperation,and express their governance concepts and development demands on many international occasions.
