《列国志》是一套内容全面、准确、系统的有关世界各国及主要国际组织的权威性大型多卷本学术丛书。该项目与中国区域国别研究发展相同步，经过二十多年发展，从纸质图书到数据库，已经涵盖全球所有主权国家和主要国际组织，培养了一批批区域国别研究人才，称得上是新世纪以来中国区域国别研究发展的代表性成果。在区域国别研究上升到国家战略高度的当下，以《列国志》为抓手，可以加强对中国新一代区域国别研究人才的培养，加快中国自有区域国别基础知识库的建设，深化区域国别专题研究，推动中国区域国别自主知识体系建设，进而为中国参与全球治理、构建人类命运共同体提供智力支持。
Guide to the World Nations is a comprehensive，accurate，and systematic set of authoritative，large，multi volume academic books on countries and major international organizations around the world. This project is synchronized with the development of area studies in China. After more than 20 years of development，from books to database，it has covered all sovereign countries and major international organizations around the world，cultivating a generation of area studies talents. It can be regarded as a representative achievement in the development of area studies in China since the new century.
