2022年，越南继续朝着建设一支革命化、正规化、精锐化、现代化人民军队的目标，突出政治强军，深化开展编制调整，贴近实战开展演习训练，发展军民两用国防工业，积极开展国际防务合作，力争到2025年基本完成“精、简、强”的军队组织编制调整，为到2030年军队走向现代化奠定坚实的基础。2023年，越南人民军将继续在政治建军、改革强军、科技兴军的道路上，全方位加强政治、战备、演训、装备、军事外交等各方面工作，争取取得更大进步和成果。
In 2022，Vietnam kept moving forward to the goal of building a people’s army which was revolutionary，normalized，elite and modernized，and enhanced political awareness，deepened the adjustment of authorized personnel，carried out drills and training pressed close to the actual combat，developed dual-use national defense industry，carried out international defense cooperation actively，endeavored to complete the “elite，simplified，strong” military organization personnel adjustment basically by 2025，to lay a solid foundation for the military modernization by 2030. In 2023，the People’s Army of Vietnam will continue to walk on the road of enhancement of political awareness，reform，science and technology，promote the work in all aspects such as politics，combat readiness，drills and training，equipment and military diplomacy，strive for making the greater progress and achievements.
