2018年，“一带一路”“海上丝绸之路”成为海洋文化领域备受瞩目的热点，相关研究成果呈现“井喷式”局面。海洋文化研究不仅在理论上得到进一步延伸，而且在实践层面日趋深入。在理论方面，由过去主要关注宏观研究开始向中观、微观层面迁移，而且由本位研究逐步进入比较研究视野。由此丰富了对海洋文化更加全面的认识，驱使海洋文化研究由表及里，叩问海洋文化方面的本质问题。对海洋生态文化的研究，尤其成果喜人。在实践层面表现得更加乐观，由过去旨在呼吁社会各界重视和加强海洋文化研究，转入结合实践因地制宜探讨具体地方的具体实践问题。如着眼海洋文化资源与产业的融合以及如何创造性转化，如何转化为海洋文化文创产品，以及如何加强海洋文化教育等现实问题。这些理论和实践层面的探索，为提升海洋文化研究水平，创新海洋文化研究方向，构建海洋文化学科体系提供了可喜的生长点和发力点。
In 2018，the Belt and Road and the Marine Silk Road became hot spots among ocean culture research，and the related research results showed a “blowout”. The ocean culture research is not only extended in theory，but also deepened in practice. In theory，from focusing on the macro-research to the meso-scale and micro-level research，and from the standard research into the comparative research gradually. This enriches more comprehensive understandings of ocean culture，and drives the study from the outside to the inside to research the essence of ocean culture. The research on ocean ecological culture is particularly fruitful in 2018. It is more optimistic in practice，which aims at calling on the society to pay more attention to the research of ocean culture，turns to discuss practical problems in accordance with local conditions and problems.
