2021年，18项遗产、56处遗产地的保护管理规划已公布实施，占遗产地总数的49.56%。工程项目管理方面，35项遗产、63处遗产地实施了各类保护工程205项，工程数量近4年基本保持稳定。33项遗产、51处遗产地实施了84项安消防工程。日常管理与监测方面，各遗产地重视日常巡查工作，并积极开展多种手段提升安全防范水平。我国约有1/3的世界文化遗产地借助监测信息系统开展日常监测工作，体系监测平台建设初步成形。考古调查与学术研究方面，11项遗产、15处遗产地开展了31项考古调查和发掘项目，各类学术研究成果数量显著增长。
In 2021，conservation and management master plans for 56 heritage sites and 18 properties were enacted，accounting for 49.56% of the total number of World Cultural Heritage sites in China. 205 different conservation works were carried out for 63 heritage sites and 35 properties. The number of conservation works remained generally the same over the four years. 84 safety and fire control projects were carried out for 51 heritage sites and 33 properties. Site managers attached importance to daily management and monitoring，using various means to improve the safety and security of heritage sites. Daily monitoring has been carried out in about one third of the World Cultural Heritage sites in China，with the use of the monitoring information system. A monitoring platform system across the country has been basically established. 31 archaeological survey and excavation projects were carried out in 15 heritage sites and 11 properties. The number of academic research outcomes significantly increased.
