Even with the lingering COVID-19，the ties between China and New Zealand still remained strong in 2022，with close interactions in the fields like diplomacy，economy and trade，societal affairs，science and technology. The two countries have continued to increase the bilateral trade；two sides have hosted many events to celebrate the 50th anniversary of establishing official diplomatic relationship. The factors，like the differences between China and New Zealand，and the change of global geopolitics and U.S. strategy towards China，have caused some troubles and strains to the bilateral relations. However，China-New Zealand relations survived the impacts and pressure，demonstrating remarkable stability and maturity；the bilateral relations appear to stay on positive developing track in the future.
