中国和加拿大高等教育交流源远流长,始于20世纪70年代。中国是加拿大国际学生第二大来源国,中加高等教育合作与交流有着良好的基础和历史。新冠疫情发生后经济增速下行、国际地缘政治以及国家保护主义、反全球化浪潮给中加两国高等教育国际化格局带来了诸多不确定性和挑战。然而,中加两国在全球化学习的理念和扩大教育对外开放的背景下,双方进行高等教育交流和合作的前景仍然广阔,特别是在在线教育、可持续发展研究、教育高地建设、孔子学院以及合作办学层次等领域仍有较大合作空间。
China and Canada have a long history of exchanges in higher education,which began in the 1970s. China is the second largest source of international students in Canada,and China-Canada higher education cooperation and exchanges have a sound foundation and history. The downturn in economic growth after the COVID-19 pandemic,international geopolitics,national protectionism and anti-globalization have brought many uncertainties and challenges to the internationalization pattern of higher education in China and Canada. However,in the context of the concept of global learning and the expansion of education opening to the outside world,there are still broad prospects for exchanges and cooperation in higher education between China and Canada,especially in the fields of online education,the research on sustainable development,the construction of educational highlands,Confucius Institutes and cooperative education levels.
