The expansion of the SCO was a significant topic at the 2022 Samarkand Summit. In addition to advancing the process of Iran becoming the ninth member state，the summit initiated the admission process for Belarus and welcomed Saudi Arabia，Egypt，and Qatar as new partners. The attractiveness of the SCO is evident. As an important constructive force in the Eurasian region and international affairs，the SCO has achieved remarkable results in maintaining regional security，promoting economic cooperation，conducting cultural exchanges，and improving institutional development. This has enhanced cooperation efficiency and is crucial to maintaining the strong momentum，broad influence，and strong appeal of the SCO. Expansion signifies the continuous elevation of the SCO’s international status，influence，and discourse power，injecting new strength into the region for civilized dialogue and the development of a new model of shared prosperity. With the accelerated evolution of the global landscape and profound adjustments in major power relations，the expanded SCO will contribute positively to regional development and global peace and stability. In the future，it is necessary to continue improving institutional development，deepening pragmatic cooperation，promoting cultural exchanges，providing more effective cooperation mechanisms，and enhancing cooperation efficiency to further explore practical approaches in building the SCO community with a shared future.
