与周边国家共同建设陆上丝绸之路经济带和21世纪海上丝绸之路，是中国构筑全方位对外开放格局的倡议，更是融入全球经济的策略创新。当前，国际社会对“一带一路”倡议高度认可，国内省区也在积极行动。宁夏处于中国西部少数民族地区，位于古丝绸之路的重要通道上，同时又是中国唯一全域开放的内陆开放型经济试验区。宁夏参与“一带一路”建设的总体思路和目标是以阿拉伯国家、伊斯兰地区为重点，以构建开放型经济新体制为支撑，促进中阿全方位交流合作，构建中阿合作桥头堡，打造丝绸之路经济带支点。目前，宁夏已成为中国与阿拉伯国家和地区交流合作最密切的省区，开放合作通道正在如火如荼地建设中，宁夏正在成为承接中阿产业合作的重要载体。面对丝绸之路经济带建设的新机遇，未来宁夏与阿拉伯国家和地区经贸关系在交通基础设施、能源通道建设、投资金融合作等方面都大有可为。当然，在共建丝绸之路经济带以及中阿合作过程中，宁夏也面临着许多制约因素，应当如何破解，需要各方共同努力。
Jointly constructing the Silk Road Economic Belt on the land and Maritime Silk Road in the 21st century with surrounding countries is the new initiative of China's construction of all-dimensional opening pattern and the strategic innovation of China's integration in global economy.Currently，the international community highly recognizes the “One Belt，One Road” initiative，and the domestic provinces and regions are also acting actively.Ningxia is one of the minority inhabited areas in Western China.It's an important part of Silk Road and the only opening- up pilot economic zone in China.The overall idea and objective of Ningxia's participation in “One Belt，One Road” construction is to focus on Arab and Muslim regions，promote all-round communications and cooperation supported by new open economy system，build a bridgehead for Sino-Arab cooperation，and create the strategic pivot point of the Silk Road Economic Belt.Ningxia has become the most closely related province to Arab countries in terms of cooperation and communication.Opening carrier is taking shape—Ningxia becomes the major carrier for Sino-Arab cooperation.In recent years，Ningxia adopts an international vision and global mind to re-examine，position and plan.However，due to its small geographical area and small economic size，Ningxia has been facing series of problems，such as transformation and upgrading in development，expanding opening up，and innovation and development.These problems need to be solved in cooperation between the two sides.
