This paper investigates the status quo，developing model and implications of localization of Confucius Institute in Cameroon. The results show that under the strong support of Cameroon government and running-model of “Yi Yuan Duo Dian”，the localization of Confucius Institute is relatively high by expanding its function，enriching its teaching contents，paying great attention to developing diploma education，stressing Chinese language education for elementary education stage. As a result，the Confucius Institute has come into its unique localization model in relation to “language education+culture transmission”，“language education+vocational education”，“diploma education+non-diploma education”，“local Chinese teachers cultivation+local Chinese teachers training”，which leads to its high-level integration into the local society. The results of this study produce insight into the localization of other Confucius Institute in Africa.
