The new growth pole for the future development of China’s national economy is the marine economy，and the marine economy has gradually become the blue engine leading China’s economic growth. China’s marine industry is mainly divided into traditional and emerging marine industries. The traditional marine industry is the backbone of China’s rapid growth of the marine economy and occupies a global position in the development of China’s marine economy. Marine emerging industries are at the high end of China’s marine industry chain. Cultivating and growing marine emerging industries has become an important measure to promote the high-quality development of China’s marine economy. This report first compares the development status of China’s traditional and emerging marine industries in detail. Secondly，the Dagum Gini coefficient decomposition method is used to analyze the added value of traditional marine industries and emerging marine industries in China，focusing on analyzing the differences between traditional marine industries and emerging marine industries，and researching the differences between different marine industries in China and their dynamic evolution laws. Also，the constraints of China’s traditional and emerging marine industries are discussed，respectively. Finally，the paper proposes countermeasure suggestions for the future development of China’s traditional marine industry from the aspects of focusing on the comprehensive management of the ecological environment，improving the toughness of the traditional marine industry，strengthening the degree of synergy and cooperation between industries，and promoting the transformation and upgrading of industrial development mode. It also puts forward countermeasure suggestions for the future development of China’s emerging marine industries from various perspectives，such as attaching importance to breakthroughs in key technological innovation，improving the cultivation mechanism of marine talents，and encouraging multiple subjects to participate in the investment.
