文化是国家综合国力的体现，文化事业的重建也是考量叙利亚战后发展的重要指标。叙利亚文化事业在战争中遭受重创，具体表现为文化场所和文化财产的损毁、文化精神的消融与文化人才的流失。在政府的主导下，叙利亚文化事业的重建工作取得了进展，一方面表现为剧场与文化中心数量的恢复，另一方面表现为促进文化事业发展政策的出台。但总体来说，叙利亚政府对文化的重视程度仍显不足，叙利亚文化事业的重建依然面临着重重困难。
Culture is one of the embodiments of a country’s overall national strength，and the reconstruction of cultural undertakings is also significant to evaluate Syria’s post-war development. Syria’s cultural programs suffered heavy losses in the war，which can find expression in the damage of cultural places and cultural property，the fading/melting of cultural spirit and cultural talents. Under the leadership of the government，remarkable progress has been achieved in the reestablishment of Syrian cultural undertakings，including the recovery of theatres and cultural centers，and the release of its cultural promotion policies. However，on the whole，the Syrian government still pays insufficient attention to culture，and the restoration of Syrian cultural undertakings is still confronted with numerous challenges.
