The pandemic of COVID-19 has exerted a devastating impact on APEC，which maybe continues persistently. According to 2021 APEC Economic Leaders’ Declaration，the top priority is to revive the economy in a more innovative，inclusive and sustainable way. By referring to APEC Economic Leaders’ Statement issued on 16 July 2021，it can sum up the response to COVID-19 and economic recovery as the most important tasks for current APEC. On responding to COVID-19，a series of initiatives and commitments are suggested，such as considering vaccines as globally public goods，putting people in the centre of policy-making，trade and investment with a crucial role in containing the pandemic，etc.. On economic recovery，it emphases the more innovative，inclusive and sustainable way responds to the changes of social economy and lives，the transition of industries，as well as the progress of APEC’s new growth strategy. COVID-19 is a pandemic that needs efforts of all human being. The timely and effective initiatives and policy advice in 2021 Declaration can reflect and deepen the common sense of an Asia-Pacific Community.
