The export value of Guangdong electronic information industry has been accounting for the highest proportion in ChinaK’s electronic information industry. This paper deeply discusses the foreign economic and trade development of Guangdong electronic information industry and obtains the following findings：Firstly，Since 1991，the output value of Guangdong electronic information industry has been accounting for over 30% in China’s electronic information industry；Secondly，In recent years，although the export volume of Guangdong electronic information industry still keeps rising，the growth rate obviously slows down，which reflects that Guangdong electronic information industry may encounter bottlenecks or obstacles in foreign trade. At the same time，the technical content and added value of export products are continually improving；Thirdly，In the global value chain of electronic information industry，Guangdong has been keeping to climb to high value-added links，mainly concentrated in electronic components，communication equipment，office equipment and radio-television equipment. While there is no obvious evidence for the rise of electronic computers to high value-added links；Fourthly，U.S. and China impose tariffs on each other，which brings severe adverse impact on foreign trade of Guangdong electronic information industry；Fifthly，The export-oriented computer industry in Guangdong tends to transfer to the western regions of China such as Chongqing and Sichuan，while the production and export of radio-television equipment and electronic instruments tend to transfer from other provinces to the pearl river delta region. At last，the paper gives some policy Suggestions from the government and enterprises perspective to promote the foreign economic and trade development of Guangdong electronic information industry.
