Since 2022，waves of protests and strikes caused by the energy and inflation crisis have swept through Europe with remarkable scale and frequency. The main demands of the protests and strikers such as higher wage levels and additional allowances stem from the increasing impoverishment of the lower and middle classes and the widening of inequality in European capitalist society. There are profound and complex economic and political factors behind the widening of social inequality in Europe，such as the power of monopoly capital in the distribution of wealth；the Western democratic deficit reinforcing social inequality；lack of scientific theoretical guidanceof the proletarian movement in the doldrums to prevent the introduction of pro-market policies，etc. Despite the decline of traditional left-wing forces such as the Communist Party，they still actively collaborate with other left-wing parties to actively participate in European protests and strikes to fundamentally promote effective improvement of inequality. The wave of protests and strikes in Europe highlights the deep-seated contradictions in capitalist society in the current context，as well as the flourishing trend of worker movements in capitalist countries.
