In 1863，The High Officer of Vietnam Phan Thanh Gian led a mission to visit France and Spain negotiated the redemption of the three southern provinces. After the visit，he took the Spanish steam brig warship to Egypt and transferred the French steam ferry to return home. He encountered a Mediterranean cyclone attacking the way to Egypt. Finally，the mission returned to Hue in early 1864. The journey took almost nine months，two members died and one became seriously ill. This article uses GPS to find the names of places and ports where the （《西浮日记》）recorded. Basically，most of the names of places and ports can be found when the delegation ship passing. After this work is completed，which is conducive to the readers understanding where is the record in .
