The paper first provides an overview of the overall progress in China’s computer industry and scientific research since 2021. Then，it discusses the main trends in advanced computing，including the contribution of system architecture surpassing devices，the shift from “computation-centric” to “data-centric” approaches，and how artificial intelligence will reshape the computer industry. Finally，it elaborates on several strategic considerations for developing advanced computing in China. It proposes the development of advanced computing technologies that are suitable for the national conditions，emphasizes the focus on “computing efficiency，” advocates for the vigorous development of tool software and industrial software，and highlights the importance of balancing security and development.
