Compared with the practice in full swing，the discussion on the construction of digital government in the theoretical circle needs to be sufficiently developed. Centering on the basic concept of digital government and framing it within the interface theory paradigm，this paper conceptualizes digital government as the process by which the government realizes the reconstruction of government interface，service interface，and interaction interface between government and citizens through digitalization. Within each paradigm of the interface，we sequentially expound upon key theoretical propositions in the process of constructing digital government. The paper also presents prospects for future research and development in digital government.
