The application of next-generation artificial intelligence in the medical and health field is undergoing rapid development. This progress is driven by the dual trends of an aging population and declining birth rates，a shift in consumer attitudes towards healthcare and health management following the pandemic，and the policy push for deep integration and innovative applications of digital technology and the healthcare sector in China’s national strategy for a “Digital China.” To gain a better understanding of the current status of AI integration with medical and health in China，this research utilizes methods such as literature review，online surveys，and analysis of policy documents to outline the industrial development，scenario applications，key technologies，and policy priorities of AI integration with medical and health. Furthermore，this study proposes strategies and recommendations for China’s healthcare industry under the backdrop of next-generation artificial intelligence，including the formulation of specialized AI policies and regulations for the medical and health sector，enhancement of regulatory frameworks for AI integration with medical and health，establishment of standardized systems for AI medical devices，and promotion of market-oriented AI medical and health services.
