Rice industry is the most important industry in Myanmar’s modern economic development history. Its economic prosperity has driven the development of transportation，catering，culture and education and other related industries. Modern science and technology and management concepts have been applied to the rice industry，and Myanmar’s economic development has entered a new historical stage. The prosperity of rice economy has become a midwife to promote the formation and development of Myanmar’s new land system and new class structure. With the formation of rice economy and the opening of economic modernization in Myanmar，on the basis of long-term division of labor，the imbalance of wealth distribution leads to the adjustment of production relations and the change of social strata，and the proletariat and national bourgeoisie are born. The formation of new land system and new social stratum is the inevitable result of the history of rice industry in Myanmar，the foundation of British colonial rule in Myanmar，and the main reason for the collapse of British colonial rule.
