For France and Germany，2022 has been a year of crisis. At the domestic level，the leaders of the two countries are constrained by the domestic political situation，and their decision-making and implementation powers are restrained. At the international level，the security crisis and energy crisis brought by the conflict between Russia and Ukraine force the two countries to adjust their foreign strategies and take effective measures to mitigate the resulting impacts and threats. Under such circumstances，on the one hand，the two countries continue to diverge in the political field，and their relations have fallen into an impasse. On the other hand，bilateral cooperation in the fields of economy，trade，culture and education，cross-border cooperation and green hydrogen has continued and made considerable achievements. Over the years of exchanges，France and Germany have forged a close relationship that complements and reinforces each other. While persisting in safeguarding their own interests，the two countries also compromise with each other based on their converging points，keeping in mind the big picture of the long-term development of their ties.
