In 2021，the economy of Vietnam was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic more seriously than in 2020，but its marine fishery，transportation and wind power industry developed rather well. Offshore oil and gas industry continued reducing，but the sharp increase of refined oil exports became a new highlight of the industry. Marine tourism industry has reopened and revitalized after the closure of scenic spots，the international tourism restarted after nearly two-year breakoff. The marine economy of Vietnam in 2021 was mingled hope and fear，while hope existed in the midst of difficulties for marine tourism industry.
