Non-ferrous metal industry is an important pillar industry related to the national economy and national defense construction. In recent years，China’s output of ten non-ferrous metals，including aluminum，copper and zinc，has ranked first in the world for many years in a row. Its industrial production is growing steadily，and the trend of digital，networked and intelligent development is becoming increasingly significant. Under the background of “carbon peaking and carbon neutrality”，the non-ferrous metal industry is gradually transforming to green and low-carbon development in the face of constraints such as high carbon emissions，the demand for carbon decarbonization of raw materials，and the green trade barriers of the European Union. At present，remarkable results have been achieved，including continuous optimization of industrial structure，continuous improvement of green smelting innovation level，gradual formation of recycling system，and orderly development of carbon management situation. This paper suggests that the non-ferrous metal industry adhere to the green development，further optimize the industrial structure layout，improve the comprehensive development efficiency，continue to build innovation force，promote the research and development of technology products，promote the digital and green transformation development，and promote the global green development through international exchanges and cooperation.
