Georgia is located in the South Caucasus region and is one of the countries with geostrategic significance in the Eurasian region. After the dissolution of the Soviet Union，significant changes occurred in Georgia’s domestic politics，economy，diplomacy，and cultural development. Under the background of the impact of the COVID-19 and profound changes in the international political and economic pattern，Georgia is facing its own development difficulties and challenges，as well as severe geopolitical risks and diplomatic pressure. Relations between China and Georgia have developed steadily. Georgia is a Eurasian country participating in the “the Belt and Road” initiative. Understanding the development and changes of Georgia since independence and the current domestic situation is conducive to practical cooperation between China and Georgia，and promotes the joint construction of a community with a shared future for mankind between China and Eurasian countries.
