The Actor-Network Theory, which was put forward by French anthropologist and sociologist Bruno Latour and others, has emerged as an important intellectual achievement in the field of science and technology studies. Over the past two decades,it has been extensively expanded and introduced into a wider range of sociological research, including media sociology. This report combs the academic overflow process of the Actor-Network Theory from science to media, from science and technology studies to media sociology, and points out the inspirations, limitations, and potential for adjustment and expansion that this new research paradigm brings to media sociology.
