In the Ming and Qing dynasties,there were three salt yards in Guangdong Daya Bay became the new center of salt production. These salt yards villages have different historical contexts. There are employer’s villages,hired workers’ villages,single surname villages and fishermen’s villages. Deng salt merchant family in Xiaodanshui of Northwest Daya Bay Area monopolized salt sales rights from the Qing Dynasty to Republic of China. Three salt yards and Deng salt merchant family formed a production,distribution system of salt in Dongjiang River Basin.
