After the Myanmar military took over the power of the country in 2021，ASEAN maintained a necessary contact with Myanmar and promoted a “five-point consensus” on the Myanmar issue instead of following USA’s position in general. Since 2022，ASEAN’s mediation reflects some new features of “Strategic Adjustment”，which is conducive to promoting the healthy development of the current Myanmar situations. At present，Myanmar military and National League for Democracy，each of the two major forces has its own advantageous political capitals respectively，and they can’t completely suppress nor replace each other easily. This is the basic political reality in Myanmar. Recently，the political democratization transformation of Myanmar may develop in the direction of the “Five-Point Road Map” set by the military. During this period，this roadmap may also reach a certain compromise with ASEAN’s “five-point consensus”. Some kind of new political structure characterized by “sharing of the power” may appear in Myanmar in the future.
