In the 21st century，the automobile industry presents the development trend of “electric，networked，intelligent and shared”. The “New Four modernizations” is the historical opportunity for China’s automobile industry to realize the curve overtaking. The automobile industry is a strategic pillar industry in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and an important support for the development of the area as a “science and technology innovation center” with global influence. This report analyzes the development status of the automobile industry in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in the fields of “three-power technology，automotive chips，autonomous driving，R&D investment，shared mobility” and so on. It is found that there are still the following problems in the development of the “new Four modernizations” of the automobile industry in the Greater Bay Area：some core parts and technologies rely on imports，charging infrastructure is not perfect，there is a technological gap in the autonomous driving system，and the development of car-sharing travel faces many obstacles. Based on the above analysis，this report puts forward policy suggestions to promote the intelligent development of the automobile industry in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
