Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China，China-Latin America relations have developed rapidly，and Beijing has strengthened the functional construction of the International Communication Center. In order to meet the needs of China-Latin America people-to-people and cultural exchanges，Centro de Intercambio Cultural China-América Latina was established. After the establishment of CICAL，it works for the goal of “Let Latin American friends find their homes in China，and let Chinese friends find Latin America”，and CICAL was supported by various sectors of China and Latin America. Through holding activities such as folk diplomacy conversations，cultural exchange salons and academic seminars，CICAL tells the China story well，makes China voice heard by the world，serves the strategies of major country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics，and also implements the functional positioning requirements of the Beijing Municipal Government for Daxing District and Weishanzhuang Town as “a new gateway for international communication” and “south central axis cultural center”. CICAL has done a good job in people-to-people and cultural exchanges and people-to-people communication between China and Latin America，and has won high praise from people of various circles in China and Latin America. On the basis of existing work，CICAL will improve the quality of its work in the future. First，CICAL will continue to integrate resources，build platforms and provide good services in the future. Second，according to the new characteristics of China-Latin America relations in the new era，CICAL will also hold a series of targeted folk diplomacy conversations and people-to-people and cultural exchanges. In addition，CICAL will strengthen its research on Latin American issues.
