The global raging of the COVID-19 has accelerated the economic recession，social devision，political polarization，ecological deterioration and the historic decline of imperialist geopolitical hegemony of neoliberal capitalism. These changes undoubtedly provide a historical opportunity for the left wing of the West to adjust and reconstruct. First，some communist Parties re-emphasized ideological struggle and class struggle，and implemented a struggle strategy that combined internal and external struggles in parliament；radical left Parties and the Green Party revived in the decline of the European Party political system. Second，the left-wing political Parties in various countries have actively established a left-wing united front alliance with the core of opposing the capitalist system and promoted the green ecological movements，and the “wave of socialism” through various channels and methods. Finally，in the face of the COVID-19 crisis，Western left-wing political Parties and intellectuals discuss in depth the value and practical path of communism in the era. While highly appraising the advantages of China’s anti-epidemic system and the values of a community with a shared future for mankind，they also conducted in-depth discussions on the global climate crisis and class struggle. In the context of the epidemic，Western left-wing political Parties have shown a trend of strengthening the “return” of left-wing traditions and ideas before the drastic changes in the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe.
