2022 was a difficult year for Russia’s powerful departments. On the one hand，with gradual escalation of the Ukraine crisis，most powerful departments have been deeply involved in combat operations，investing a lot of resources and energy. On the other hand，various external pressures were constantly being transmitted to Russia，and the powerful departments faced complex situations and severe challenges during performing their functions. Overall，under the direct leadership of President Putin，the powerful departments have basically completed their tasks，effectively maintained national security and stability，kept up with the development and changes of the situation，and promoted reforms in all aspects to achieve good results.
