Since the independence of Kazakhstan,it has been widely concerned by foreign countries. After the disintegration of the Soviet Union, the “strategic vacuum” in Central Asia made many countries, including Iran, actively plan to play an active role in the region,so as to expand their influence and even control in the region. As the bellwether of Central Asia,Kazakhstan will naturally become an inevitable choice for regional and trans-regional powers to compete for influence. Kazakhstan and Iran face each other across the Caspian Sea,and the development of friendly relations between Kazakhstan and Iran is the inevitable result of the objective laws of history and reality. In June,2019,since President Tokayev took office, the political and economic relations between Kazakhstan and Iraq have gradually warmed up. Both sides have a lot of cooperation space and potential in bilateral and multilateral fields. Both sides intend to continuously strengthen exchanges and cooperation in many fields.
