In the thought of“The Culture Concept of Synthetic Innovation”，Zhang Dainian made a comprehensive discussion on the sublating problem of Chinese traditional culture.Based on materialist dialectics，he revealed the inherent contradictions of culture and the dialectic of cultural development，emphasized the premise of cultural sublation was to recognize the separability of culture，and proposed the standard of culture sublation was to“discard the dross and select the essential”.Hereby，he analysed the excellent traditional culture of China and the negative cultural factors that cause the deficiency of Chinese traditional culture.At the same time，a unique and profound view of traditional culture sublation was formed.The original idea of Zhang Dainian provided theoretical support and method enlightenment for the culture sublation and construction on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era，so it can be regarded as a valuable academic heritage.
