After the COVID-19 outbreak,Africa’s peaceful development has been severely shaken and a systemic crisis has begun to emerge. The economic and social crisis triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic has been transmitted to the politics and security, with the situation of major countries in the African region shaken, military coups making a significant comeback, and terrorism continuing to rage,Africa has experienced a turbulent situation rarely seen in the past 20 years. This round of turmoil in Africa is mainly influenced by the international environment, which profoundly reflects the fragility and volatility of Africa’s development. In the face of this complex and challenging situation,Africa’s opportunities remain. African countries are constantly suppressing the negative elements of electoral politics and seeking a benign path of political development, and it is a consensus among all society that people want stability. In the era of great power competition,Africa’s pursuit of strategic autonomy has become more intense. In the meantime,Africa as an important force on the international stage will receive more attention from the outside world.
