The Indian media industry has shown great resilience and begun to recover from heavy losses during the COVID-19 pandemic. Because of the ever-increasing consumer demand and advertising revenue,the Indian media industry,as a sunrise industry in the country,is expected to see a fast expansion. Among all kinds of media in India,the new media has the broadest space for development,but the traditional media such as newspapers and televisions still play a dominant role in the short term. The tradition,language diversity,press freedom and news credibility of the Indian media jointly shape the country’s media ecology and affect the development of the media industry.
