This article explores the extent to which Chinese scholarships have contributed to the building of technological capacity in Tanzania, during the tenyear period from 2005 to 2015. It seeks to understand the position of the Chinese have the scholarship and training awards to the Sino-Tanzanian development of cooperation and draw some lessons on the impact of such awards on individual trainees. The study will also explore the contributions of Chinese training and scholarships towards the human capacity building efforts in science, technology, and innovation in Tanzania.
