Although the downward pressure on the economy has slowed down in 2021，the decline remains，and the economy has negative growth for two consecutive years. In November，riots broke out in Honiara，the capital. The Honiara riots have had a serious impact on the economic，political and other fields of Solomon Islands. Although the government of Sogavare has successfully quelled the riots and maintained the basic political stability，the challenge of local forces to the central authority shows that the Westminster system in Solomon Islands still needs to be further improved. China and Solomon Islands have actively implemented the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries，and the areas of cooperation have been expanded and deepened.
