2021年是萨摩亚大选之年，虽然选情导致国内政治局势出现波动，但总体上实现了政府平稳过渡。受新冠肺炎疫情防控政策影响，萨摩亚经济持续下滑，面临巨大挑战。新政府上台后，萨摩亚社会秩序稳定，外交政策基本上保持了延续性，2021年中萨关系稳步发展。
The year 2021 witnessed the General Election in Samoa. Although the Election had led to a volatile political situation in Samoa，a peaceful transition between the two administrations was generally achieved. Samoa’s economy continued to decline and faced great challenges，resulting from impact of the national policy for COVID-19 prevention and control. After the new administration came into power，Samoa enjoyed a stable social order and a largely consistent foreign policy. China-Samoan relations in 2021 have maintained steady development.
