Cham language is used by Cham people who have established the Champa kingdom with a splendid culture in today’s south-central Vietnam. A considerable part of the ancient Champa kingdom history that we know today comes from the inscription records of the Cham people. The specific meaning of the word lov found in the inscription C.30 on the Po Nagar Cham Pagoda in Nha Trang，Vietnam，has been verified by Western scholars，but it is still incomplete. Through the method of linguistics，it is found that the word lov in the ancient Cham language actually means “China” which actually related to the way the Vietnamese call Chinese people.
