The South Pacific region is at the crossroads connecting dozens of countries in the Pacific Ocean and the Indian Ocean region. It is the hub of communication between the Pacific and the Indian Ocean. Its geographical location，vast sea area，abundant resources are of extremely important geostrategic values and South Pacific region is a hotly contested spot for relevant countries，especially large countries such as US，India，Japan and Australia in the 21 century，as well as the spotlight and frontier for future international geopolitical competition. China should further recognize the geo-strategic value of the South Pacific region and its important value for China’s realization of the strategic rise，the realization of the Chinese dream of rejuvenation，the realization of the dream of a strong maritime nation，and improve the South Pacific strategy.
