Cambodia-China relation is one of the oldest relations in Southeast Asia. Bilateral relations have a long history that can be traced back to the thirteenth century when a Chinese diplomat visited Angkor City in 1296A Record of Cambodia: The Land and Its People (Chiang Mai: Silkworm Books, 2007).">[1]. After decades of up and down fluctuation during the Cold War, the contemporary ties between the two countries have reached a new height in various aspects, including in economic and political fields in recent years. China is now Cambodia’s top foreign investor, a major donor, and a very important trading partner, especially since China embarked its initiative on One Belt One Road in 2013. This paper aims at examining evolving of the Cambodia-China Economic relations over the past 20 years, especially under the influence of BRI.The paper is structured into two main parts except for the introduction and concluding remarks. After this introduction, Section 1 will review the economic relations between the two countries. It is followed by a discussion of the relations under the influence of the BRI.
