Growing relations between Cambodia and China have garnered more attention in the region, including in Indonesia. Before presenting the perspective from Indonesia, it is necessary to understand Indonesia’s relations with both countries respectively as background context. This paper will begin with a brief overview of Indonesia’s relation with Cambodia and with China, then highlight some of the key issues in the shaping of Indonesia’s perception of Cambodia’s relation with China.
