The global center of gravity continues shifting to the Indo-Asia-Pacific. Its population already accounts for more than half of the world’s people. The region is home to the fastest growing economies in the world, with the collective share of over 50 percent of global GDP, and expected to account for 70% of the global GDP by 2050. Alongside the rise of geo-economics, interactions between rising powers, established powers, middle and small powers and regional institutions are shaping the geopolitics of the region, but lingering tensions and frictions among them pose a potential risk for conflict.
