Asia-Pacific Connectivity and the Challenge of Inclusive Development
文章摘要
Asia-Pacific’s objective of achieving inclusive development can be hampered by growth of new connectivity projects in the region. This paper identifies existing regional gaps in maritime and IT capacities and argues economic difference can widen as some countries would have more capacities for exploiting new transport and communication networks. The paper argues for strong regional policy coordination and cooperation between APEC’s major actors like China and Australia for avoiding such consequences.
