Building the Community of Common Destiny From the Laos’ Perspective

ASEAN and China are neighbors and partners given the geographical proximity，historical linkages，social，cultural and religious affinities. Even though ASEAN and China face different opportunities and challenges along the economic development but the aspirations of both sides still stick to the friendship，cooperation and partnership. The contacts between ASEAN and China traced back almost two thousand years ago after the Silk Road was cut off and the Chinese had tried their attempt to engage Funan.
