As for the security of the region，it was very helpful in understanding the current security issues in the Asia region，and apprehending how to accommodate each country’s or community’s interests.Asian countries share the history of the region，but do not always have a positive memory of history. Sometimes，Asian countries are reluctant to accept common destiny. Very often，neighboring countries tend to be major adversaries to one another.National security has been，and will be the main interest of many states in the world. Security domain has been enlarged from traditional military security to non-traditional securities such as nuclear armament deterrents. Due to the increasing burden of the security domain，regional security arrangements have become extremely important，and there are conflicting security issues such as territorial disputes，resource conflicts，power rivalries and different views on bilateral，multilateral cooperation or alliances. Also，there are common security issues in the region like natural disasters，environmental issues，pandemics，terrorism，cross-border crime，energy and human security.However，in the era of complexity and uncertainty，it is not easy to define security challenges and threats. It is even more difficult to develop security arrangements for cooperation among countries，even for the countries in the same region.While introducing the Belt and Road Initiative（B&R），Chinese colleagues claim that the B&R Initiative development is being pursued under the concept of the Community of Common Destiny，shared responsibility and mutual benefits. These are good and ideal concepts but it is not easy to apply the concept in the security domain. There are conflicting priorities among countries in the region. Countries compete with one another over a wide range of issues like economy or even environment. As to responsibility，oftentimes it is hard to determine country-by-country accountability，and there is no binding regime for coordination. Consequently，there is a long way to go for security cooperation. Regional security cooperation along with mechanism for cooperation in the region is crucial in ensuring stability and prosperity for each nation.In security aspects，checks and balances are essential to achieving national and regional stability. As independent states，we all continuously check if there are any threats to a nation，and every state pursues optimal state of stability by removing any potential threat. In the process of removing threats，neighboring countries sometimes belong to different groups of interest，and as neighboring countries，we do not share a common destiny in a number of security matters at that moment.Balancing is also important for national security. Every time a nation loses balance with its adversaries，there should be an introduction of new measures and efforts for rebalancing. Sometimes it could become a regional security issue and cause conflicts between nations in the region.Previously，there were mentions of the Korean War and the inclusion of the DPRK in security matters in the Belt and Road Initiative. But as Korea is losing balance with the DPRK due to their nuclear tests，it will take time to establish a new inter-Korean relationship. In this regard，continuous communication and efforts in the balance between states are vital in ensuring regional stability. To achieve common destiny and shared responsibility in the region，it is important to remove threatening factors in the region with efforts from each and every state.However，tensions must be reduced in the region for regional stability. For security cooperation，Asian countries should enhance cooperation by dividing into short term and long term goals.For the short term，Asian countries can cooperate on issues related to anti-terrorism，and also work on enhanced communication and cooperation for security stability. By doing so，Asian countries can enhance confidence building，which have been emphasized by all the speakers. Asian countries can move to the long term security cooperation for stability of the region by removing all the destabilizing and threatening factors.
