文章摘要
On the central axis of the south campus of Sun Yat-sen University stands a three-story building, Swasey Hall, also known as the “Small Auditorium.” The red brick structure, with a Chinese-style facade and a Western-style rear, vividly epitomizes the spirit of Lingnan culture, “openness and inclusiveness.” Guangzhou is the southern gateway to China, a “millennial hub of commerce,” the cradle of Lingnan culture, and the pivot of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, or the Greater Bay Area. This article aims to discuss approaches to the diffusion of Lingnan culture in the construction of a “Cultural Bay Area” and promote the cultural exchanges in this area and even among Asian countries.
