Because of the different ways of sentence breaking,Kananihongi produced a different kind of genealogy from Iwanami-edition and Shogakukan-edition. Through a comparative analysis of the sentence breaking of the seventh arufuminiiwaku of the fifth paragraph Volume one,Jindaikan in Nihon Shoki, the author found that the punctuation of Kananihongi separated the continuity of Kami’s genealogy, resulting in the ambiguity of the genealogy of Futsunushinokami, which also made the seventh arufuminiiwaku of the fifth paragraph Volume one,Jindainomaki in Nihon Shoki lost its value and significance of existence. Therefore, this kind of sentence breaking is not advisable. On the contrary, the punctuation of Iwanami-edition can make the genealogy more clear and unambiguous,in addition,by echoing with the narratives of the subsequent part, the genealogy of Futsunushinokami becomes complete and perfect. Therefore, the way of sentence breaking is reasonable and desirable.
